Uzbekistan – Travel Guides & Itineraries

In 2024, I spent 4 unforgettable days in Uzbekistan, discovering the timeless charm of Samarkand and Tashkent. From the stunning blue domes of Registan Square to the vibrant streets of the capital, this journey took me deep into the history, culture, and flavors of Central Asia. Uzbekistan truly felt like stepping into a living museum along the ancient Silk Road.

Weather –

Best Time to Visit Uzbekistan

The best time to visit Uzbekistan is during spring (April to June) and autumn (September to early November) when the weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing, especially in historical cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva.

Why These Months?

  • April to June: Mild temperatures, blooming landscapes, and clear skies – perfect for exploring ancient Silk Road cities.
  • September to November: Cooler evenings, fewer crowds, and vibrant bazaars full of fresh fruits and local crafts.

Avoid Summer (July–August)

  • Extremely hot, especially in desert regions. Temperatures often reach above 40°C (104°F), making travel uncomfortable.

Winter (December–February)

  • Cold and quiet. Good for travelers who prefer fewer tourists and snowy landscapes, but some rural areas may be less accessible.
