I visited Singapore in February 2025, and before going, I heard one thing again and again — Singapore is expensive. While it’s true that food, transport, and hotels can be costly, I learned that choosing the right budget hotel near MRT stations makes a huge difference.
During my trip, I mostly traveled using public transport, explored neighborhoods on foot, and ate at hawker centres. So instead of luxury hotels, I focused on clean, safe, affordable hotels with good locations.
In this blog, I’m sharing the top 5 cheapest hotels in Singapore, along with distances from major attractions and why I personally recommend them.
