If you only have 2 days in Manila, don’t worry—you can still experience a solid mix of history, culture, and modern city life. I had more time during my trip in February 2025, but if I had to squeeze the best of Manila into two days, this is how I’d do it.

Start your day with a walk through Intramuros, Manila’s iconic walled city. It’s packed with heritage—Spanish-era architecture, churches, and cobblestone paths. Don’t miss Fort Santiago and San Agustin Church while you’re there.

After soaking up the history, head over to Rizal Park (Luneta). It’s a peaceful space with a powerful story behind it, honoring national hero José Rizal.

From there, explore Quiapo—busy, bold, and full of character. Visit Quiapo Church and check out the street vendors around it. If you have more energy, continue to Binondo, the world’s oldest Chinatown. It’s perfect for a bit of urban exploring.

Wrap up the day with a sunset by Manila Bay. It’s simple, but there’s something special about the way the sky lights up over the water.

Start your second day in Makati, especially if you’re staying in the area. Take a morning stroll through Ayala Triangle Gardens—it’s green, quiet, and a nice break from the traffic.

Later, head over to Bonifacio Global City (BGC). It’s modern, walkable, and full of interesting spots. Spend time along Bonifacio High Street, explore the local art murals, or pop into a few shops.

If you’re in the mood for something more interactive, check out The Mind Museum—especially if you’re into science or traveling with kids.

In the afternoon, do some souvenir or last-minute shopping at places like GreenbeltGlorietta, or Market! Market!, depending on where you’re based.

Take it slow, enjoy the city’s contrast of old and new, and if you have time—sneak in one last walk or chill spot before heading to the airport.

  • Get an early start to beat the traffic and heat
  • Use the Grab app for easy transport
  • Wear comfortable clothes and shoes—it’s a walking city
  • Stay in Makati or BGC for the best access to both historic and modern spots
  • If you’re short on time, skip the malls and focus on Intramuros + BGC.
