Best Time to Visit
- Peak Season (November – February): Cool and dry weather, best for temple exploration.
- Shoulder Season (March – May): Hotter but manageable; fewer crowds.
- Low Season (June – October): Rainy season, but lush landscapes and lower prices.
Currency & Payment Methods
- The official currency is the Cambodian Riel (KHR), but USD is widely accepted.
- ATMs dispense both USD and Riel.
Day 1: Exploring Angkor Wat & Major Temples

- Buy Angkor Temple Pass at the official Angkor Ticket Office (not available online).
- 1-Day Pass: $37

- Sunrise at Angkor Wat – Arrive by 5:00 AM to see the famous sunrise reflection.
- Explore Bayon Temple (Famous for giant stone faces).
- Visit Ta Prohm Temple (The “Tomb Raider” temple).
- Discover Banteay Kdei and Pre Rup Temple.
- Take a break at Srah Srang Lake.
- In the evening, explore Pub Street for local experiences and enjoy authentic Khmer dishes.

Day 2: More Temples & Siem Reap’s Local Scene
- Visit Angkor Thom, the ancient city with impressive gates and temples.
- Walk around the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King.
- Relax at a traditional Khmer spa to unwind after temple visits.
- Explore local markets like the Old Market for souvenirs and street food.
- End the day at Pub Street, enjoying the lively atmosphere.

Day 3: Floating Villages & Local Exploration
- Take a boat trip to Kampong Phluk Floating Village on Tonle Sap Lake.
- Explore the stilt houses and local life.
- Visit Made in Cambodia Market for authentic souvenirs.
- Catch the sunset at Phnom Bakheng for a final breathtaking view.
Extra Tips
- Transportation: Rent a Tuk-tuk ($15–$20 per day).
- Dress Code: Wear modest clothing when visiting temples (shoulders and knees covered).
